Welcome to the White Boxer Club forum. As most of you know Helen was not sure whether to include a forum or not - after much deliberation, here it is. Any ideas / suggestions welcome.
The White Boxer Club was set up in June 2008. The idea behind the Club is for people to realise that White Boxers exist and are the same as their coloured brothers and sisters and that all Boxers are equal. We hope there are other people out there who will organise sub-groups in their own areas. Organised events such as Dog Shows, Agility, Demonstrations, Fun Days etc. with White Boxers – where Whites and Coloureds can compete as one.
Any monies raised from these events will be donated towards a Boxer Rescue of the sub-groups choice.
The main objective of the forum and Club is to help raise monies for needy Boxers. Over the next few months it would be good if we could all organise some event in our own area - start of easy with something like a sponsored walk round your local park. The monies raised would go to your own local Boxer rescue or, to the White Boxer Rescue.
If you would like to know more, then please take a look at this site. If you feel you can make a contribution to running the site, or have suggestions to improve things feel free to PM one of the Admin or Mod team.
Ideas and suggestions welcome. We need photographs of your Boxers, Coloured and White.
We hope you enjoy your visit and come back soon.

Re: Welcome to the White Boxer Club
A few of the questions that get asked;
Where do white boxers come from?
The first noted boxer champion was actually a white, so it is in boxer genetic heritage.
Modern whites are still produced in litters because of the popular desire to have flashy brindle or fawn boxers. These are the ones with white chests, socks and often a head which has an upside down 'Y' pattern on it.
Are the rumours of whites having more health problems true?
It's impossible to be certain. Boxers of all colours can get cancer, epilepsy, heart problems, spodylosis and deafness (the list is sadly endless for boxers).
No credible statistics exist to back up such claims. The few surveys that have been done (and they are very few) took into account too small a number of the boxer population to have any degree of accuracy. Some were done with the intent of proving whites had worse health, which put a bias on the likely outcome (The temptation to end the survey once the 'desired' answer is reached is rather misleading. A bit like the 9 out of ten cats preferring a particular brand of food). I could just as easily ask everyone on such a group as this 'do you think whites are better than other colours?' The answer would be biased. So asking breeders who show their dogs in confirmation if whites are unhealthy, whilst the Breed Councils are adamantly opposed to whites being shown any health questions is also likely to be biased.
As for deafness, the assumption is mostly based on genetic research done into the affects of the s allele and deafness carried out on white mice (the genetics have some relation) and one study done based on dalmatians. As far as I can ascertain there has not been any research done directly on boxers, let alone whites, in this field. As research like that is expensive, it is rather unlikely that any will be done in the short term, either.
Are rumours that whites are harder to train and more unruly true?
Not in my opinion. Again, there is no factual research on this. However, as with most dogs, you get out what you put in. Whites have had success in fly ball, agility and obedience. Some have even demonstrated these type of skills at Crufts!
Why do many whites have patches or spots?
The s allele prevents colour from developing. So the patches/spots are where colour began to develop before the s allele took effect.
Are white boxers more likely to be deaf?
Statistics on this are just as unreliable as above. However, I believe this to be unlikely when compared to flashy boxers. The same allele that gives rise to whites is what creates the white sox and chest in flashy boxers. It would make sense then, that if whiteness causes deafness, then flashy boxers would be more prone to deafness than solid coloured boxers.
If this were to be the case then surely we would expect to see the Boxer Breed Councils banning flashy coats using the same arguements as given for banning boxers with more than one third coat colour.
This would be extremely ironic, as flashy boxers have far more success in the ring than solid coloured boxers.
A further irony is that whites continue to exist because of this desire to breed flashy boxers.
The biggest irony of all is that by excluding whites from the gene pool we could be excluding boxers that are of the highest quality for the remaining requirements.
